Tineke’s strength: make sure every child gets what it needs
Tineke’s career did not start out with children. She first followed European Studies in den Haag. The international aspect of her studies always appealed to her and she ended up following a six month study at the University of Queensland, Australia, as part of her training. After her studies Tineke worked at the Province of South Holland dealing with ‘policies’. She especially enjoyed seeing it worked out and put into practice. When things did not work out you can immediately adjust it. The turbulent developments in Daycares in 2011 bothered Tineke. How could there be such diversity in quality in different daycares? What type of quality should children be offered? Tineke followed a pedagogical training in order to understand a bit more. She found it even more important to get talking with parents about this. What are their wishes? Is it attainable? Her conclusion: YES! It is possible to offer a daycare where both the child and the parents are valued. Being able to choose for a Christian daycare was Tineke’s dream, and is now a reality. Making time to pray and read the Bible every day is a fundamental part of the daily program. Feedback we get from many parents are that 10forKIDS really do make a difference. ‘You offer something unique’; ‘There is a pleasant atmosphere’; ‘You have an eye and an ear for the right type of care, quality and atmosphere’. Lovely to hear! This is confirmation for Tineke that she made the right choice. You are very welcome at 10forKIDS.

Nicole’s strength: make dreams come true
Giving children a solid foundation for the rest of their life is what Nicole strives for! So it was an easy decision for her to follow a pedagogical training. Full of ideas and enthusiasm Nicole got started at her first job, but soon she discovered that her ideas did not always match with what was possible in the Daycare. Children needs to be challenged from early on. They don’t just need care, but also education and a variety of activities offered. Learning should be fun… your whole life long, so even the teachers find that they need to keep developing and learning. Good care starts with good leadership and that must be visible! So a seed was planted in her mind… what if I could start my own daycare? Together with Tineke Hendrikse, 10forKIDS was born…! A beautiful learning environment, where children feels safe and at home. The beauty of starting your own daycare, according to Nicole, is that you can pursue your dream… that which your heart is 100% after. Her creativity and passion for photography is also not wasted here. You may have noticed the beautiful pictures of your children regularly appearing on the app or website. Nicole is also partly responsible for optimal operations of 10forKIDS. You are, of course, welcome to contact her with personal questions or specific requests. Feel welcome at 10forKIDS!

Alida’s strength: Solving puzzles
I am partly responsible for the administration of 10forKIDS. This involves personnel planning, swapping requests and taking the minutes of our meetings. Often it’s a bit of a puzzle to work things out, but that is exactly what I love about my job. Working at 10forKIDS offers variety… each day is different! Sometimes I can go visit the groups and take some pictures of the children, other times I have to write a column about eating healthy for our newsletter. Sometimes, at the end of the day, I don’t want to go home yet, haha! Another important task I have is to be approachable for parents to help them with their administrative questions. If you have any questions, then please feel free to ask!

Janneke’s strength: every child is talented
I love to chat with our young toddlers. They are honest, enthusiastic and that is contagious! I think it is important to provide the children with the necessary structure. Keeping an overview and creating the necessary peace within a group is important to me. In the right stimulating environment, the children develop optimally. This is done together with the children, that makes me happy! Janneke works on Monday and Wednesday.

-
Irene’s strength: making children grow and flourish
In 2016 I obtained my diploma for the Social Work Social Work course, Social Care employee. I started working as a care assistant within the care of the disabled. That is beautiful work, I just notice that I enjoy working with children more. It is nice to be able to support children in their development and to see them grow and flourish. 10forKIDS offered me the opportunity to follow additional training. I am now licensed to work in childcare. I do this with great pleasure! It is a beautiful environment for children to enjoy. Beautiful spaces where it is fantastic to work and have fun with the children. I go to work with great enthusiasm.

-
Agnes’ strength: extra attention for fear of failure and language development
As a primary school teacher, I discovered that children with a history of fair of failure got my attention. I find it a challenge to support those children in a good way, so they can be themselves more and more, that’s what I’m going for. I have never regretted the transition to specific childcare. With my educational background, I want to educate the children in the area of language development. I know sign language. That can come in handy. Agnes works at the Wiebeltenen on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

-
Dominique’s strength: taking care of babies
I am a trainined maternity nurse and I am very happy to be able to apply the specific things I learned at 10forKIDS. Taking care of babies is a separate discipline. They are always ready for a learning moment at a young age. I gladly help them with that. Of course it is very nice to pamper the little children and give a lot of personal attention. With young children you learn quickly to discover his or her personal preferences. I think that is wonderful. Dominique works at the Stampers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

-
Claudia’s strength: developing and following group dynamics
I followed a training for teaching assistant. My experience as an teaching assistant showed me that I love the group dynamics. It is good to pay attention to the child. But the variation that can also be done in the presence of other children, in the sense of more social interaction with other children, attracts me the most. 10forKIDS is an environment where the children really feel at home. We do a lot of different of activities here and as a team we complement each other well. Nice to see that we are strengthening each other with all our different personalities. I love to go to work. Claudia works on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

-
Ilse’s strength: participation
I first started as an intern at 10forKIDS and now I work fulltime at the group the Stampers. During my internship I already noticed that 10forKIDS aims for the highest. You see it in many areas, like the care, the nutrition, but also the teachers. Parents are always welcome to come with a question, concern or suggestion to me or to the management. Genuine attention is given to parents and children. I enjoy it here at 10forKIDS. I work on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The power of Sandhya: teaching children
I was taught to care for children at a young age, because I grew up as the oldest in a family with six children. Here I also discovered that I enjoy working with children, teaching them and learning them. I did not take the step to childcare immediately. Before this I worked as a cosmetologist. Taking good care of yourself is important to me and I like it when I can play a part in this for others. I am the mother of a lovely daughter and because she ended up at 10forKIDS, I was able to see up close and as a parent how things work at a daycare. At 10forKIDS you do not just want to bring your child, but you also want to work there yourself! I applied for a BBL position and now I enjoy working at 10forKIDS. A heart’s wish has come true! I have not regretted my switch for a moment, I notice that I am completely at home at 10forKIDS.

-
The power of Gabrielle: she offers our toddlers a challenging program
I am Gabrielle (29 years old) and a mother of two boys. I previously worked at 10forKIDS (five years) and started working for myself as a childminder in 2018. Still, I missed working in a team. From September 2020 I am working at 10forKIDS again. 10forKIDS is very happy with this! Gabrielle works at the Hoogvliegers group on Mondays and Fridays.

Corlien’s strength: children have my heart
What could be better than giving children the love and warmth they need? This can be done in all kinds of ways: just a wink, a smile, a friendly word or by making time for them in the form of an activity.
As diverse as these ‘languages of attention’ are, the children themselves are also different. Uniqueness is what attracts me to children. No child is the same and yet they ultimately need the same. It is what I started with: unconditional love. In my opinion, this is the basis for building a bond with children and teaching them new things.
After completing my PABO education, I knew that I wanted to develop my skills further. That is why I started working (part-time) at a relief organization. As an ambulatory care worker I was happy to guide the children in developing their social skills, for example. There, too, I noticed that the approach was different for every child. Sometimes it was a challenge to discover the right approach, but once found, this resulted in beautiful moments. This is how I learned to let children grow in a way that suits them.
As a pedagogical employee I would like to further develop my skills while working at 10forKIDS. Because I started the master Orthopedagogy in September 2021, I think this is a unique opportunity to directly apply my knowledge that I gain in practice.

Henrieke’s strength: guidance of babies
In 2018 I obtained my diploma in maternity care. After that, I worked as a residential counselor in geriatrics. Only I noticed that this didn’t quite have my heart. Then I applied for a job at 10forKIDS and was hired. Because my diploma did not qualify, but it did qualify for a lateral-entry process, I subsequently went through that. Now I am fully qualified to work in childcare and I do that with great pleasure! My two children also come to 10forKIDS. They always had great stories to tell at home, now that I am experiencing it up close I feel even more connected to 10forKIDS. To be part of this professional team is truly a privilege! I enjoy going to 10forKIDS with my children.

Katinka’s strength: ensure a challenging and adventurous day
After many years of working in the elderly care sector, I decided to make another career switch. Within the elderly care I have gained a lot of experience in caring for and guiding elderly people with dementia and the entire care process. Despite the fact that I have been doing this work with a lot of love and passion for twenty-one years, I was looking for a new challenge. I found this challenge with the position of pedagogical employee at 10forKIDS. My goal is to make the children feel welcome and to make every day a new adventure. With this I would like to make a safe and responsible contribution to the further development of every child. I am very happy that I dared to take this step. I feel very welcome at 10forKIDS from the start.

Lourense’s strength: hectic is allowed, but chaos is not
As a child of a family of eight children, I am used to the hustle and bustle around me. In childcare it can sometimes get quite hectic. I can handle that well, hectic moments are allowed, but chaos is not . I like structure, overview and clarity. I am good at that too, and the kids like it when it is dominant. At 10forKIDS I can be myself completely, I also learn a lot and I like to be flexible and helpful where possible. Both to the children and to my nice and sweet colleagues. We have a very nice team in Vlaardingen. Before this I worked at another large scale daycare, that was not my place. I like that small-scale, you notice here that everyone has an eye and an ear for each other. At 10forKIDS it is well organized! Nice to meet you soon. Feel especially welcome at 10forKIDS.

-
Mariëlle’s strength: giving compliments
I started as a trainee at 10forKIDS. Even then I found the leaders involved and professional. That I can be part of the 10forKIDS team is super! The nice thing about working at 10forKIDS is the diversity of children. They all have their own unique, mostly international background and I learn a lot about their culture and background. That makes it extra fun. I think the best thing is when children can proudly receive their compliments from me: well done!! And that they agree with it as well! It makes me very proud of them. I work in Vlaardingen on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

-
The strength of Mirjam: motor development of children
I am originally a physiotherapist and have worked in this position in Germany for eight years. I speak German fluently. I enjoyed doing this work, but I decided to switch. I now enjoy working at 10forKIDS. I really enjoy the young children and I can laugh a lot with them. They have captured my heart! Of course I cannot help it and I keep a close eye on the motor development of the children. Nice to do!

The strenght of Anna: Working with children is my compassion
I studied pedagogy at the Wroclaw University in Poland. I have received recognition that allows me to work in childcare and after school care in the Netherlands. I have already gained ten years of work experience, particularly in international childcare centers. Working with children is colorful and gives me inspiration and energy every day. They are uninhibited, creative, funny and enthusiastic!
I could not wish for a better working environment.

-
Willemijn’s strength: working in a result-oriented way
Before this, I worked in care for the disabled, where it is difficult to understand the behavior of children and adults. I did that work with great pleasure, and in the end I made the choice for childcare. Here I experience new challenges. You can teach children a lot where you immediately notice the result. The combination of childcare and after-school care also works well for me. I am glad I had the courage to take the step to childcare!

-
Esther’s strength: having fun with the children by making music
My name is Esther and I have been working at 10forKIDS since September 2021. For this I have mainly worked for children with a social-emotional disability. I feel more at home at 10forKIDS. It is a wonderful job where I work with great pleasure and love in both childcare and after school care. I enjoy singing with the children (with or without guitar) and reading the Bible together. After a busy day at school, they can come to me for a while, relax and we go on fun adventures! I look forward to welcoming the kids!
-
Marieke’s strength: giving children a nice place and stimulating them in their development
My name is Marieke and I work at the toddler care and after school care on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I was trained as a remedial educationalist and also worked for a number of years, but I especially missed the practicality and working in a team. I have no work experience in childcare yet, but I have always worked with children. I gave dyslexia guidance and did some babysitting for a boy with ASD and I learned at the PABO for a year. I am also a mother of two children myself. I look forward to giving the children a nice place, having fun with them and stimulating them in their development. We are going to make something beautiful out of it. See you soon!
-
Shanty’s strength: organizing a diverse range of activities
My name is Shanty and I have more than ten years of work experience in both childcare and after school care. Together with an enthusiastic team of pedagogical employees, we offer the children a safe and familiar environment. Providing support and guidance in the development and growth of children gives me great satisfaction. I really enjoy being able to do that together with the 10forKIDS team! The area offers a lot of space to organize various activities for the children and by the children. Nice, hope to see you soon.

Rucheiny’s strength: her passion for children
I grew up in the beautiful and pleasant Curaçao! Here I followed the training of social pedagogical employee. I am lucky that I knew very early on what I wanted to be when I grow up: working with children! Children are my passion. I would like to contribute in a positive way in supporting children in their development. On Curaçao, children are not allowed to play until all their homework has been completed. Here in the Netherlands it is less strict. I am a bit used to situational handling. I notice that children respect me because I radiate authority in combination with sympathy. That works well. I am going to make the kids happy!
